Important game to mention about took place in Carolina. Eighth rankedCaguas (2-4) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked Gigantes (3-4) 53-51 on Sunday evening. It was an exceptional evening for American center Kai James (196-1995, college: FSU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Her fellow American import forward Alisia Jenkins (186-1994, college: S.Florida) accounted for 16 points and 7 rebounds (made all of her ten free throws !!!) for the winning side. Caguas' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Teana Muldrow (188-1995, college: WVU) came up with 21 points and 7 rebounds and American-Jordanian guard Aisha Sheppard (175-1998, college: Virginia Tech) added 12 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals respectively for Carolina in the defeat. Newly promoted Caguas maintains eighth place with 2-4 record. Carolina at the other side keeps the seventh position with four games lost.
